Ausar Thompson's Ankle Sprain Leaves Him Questionable for Tuesday

Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's game thanks to a right ankle sprain, proving once again that the NBA schedule remains undefeated against human ligaments.

Underdog NBA dropped the update, sending fantasy managers and prop bettors into their usual pre-game scramble. When a guy who fills the stat sheet like Thompson hits the injury report, the ripple effects hit the rotation hard.

"Underdog NBA reported: 'Ausar Thompson (ankle) listed questionable for Tuesday.'"

Thompson recently stuffed the box score with 14 points, five boards, four assists, and three steals in 34 minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers before the ankle issue flared up. That is the kind of defensive and peripheral production that keeps Detroit competitive and makes him a darling for daily fantasy lineups.

Trying to predict an NBA ankle sprain recovery is like trying to guess the Wi-Fi password at a local coffee shop. It might work immediately, or you might be locked out for a week.

If Thompson is forced to watch this one in street clothes, the Pistons will have to dig into their depth chart. Expect guys like Ronald Holland II, Duncan Robinson, and Javonte Green to soak up the extra minutes and try to replicate his defensive chaos.

For anyone looking at the betting board, Thompson's status is the ultimate swing factor. His defensive versatility changes how opponents attack the rim, meaning his absence could easily inflate the opposing team's scoring props.

Keep an eye on the shootaround reports on Tuesday morning. Until Detroit makes a final call, treat your fantasy lineups and betting slips with extreme caution.
