Avalanche Get Their Ultimate Glue Guy Back as Logan O'Connor Set for Season Debut

The Colorado Avalanche are finally getting their ultimate glue guy back on the ice, which is terrible news for anyone who enjoys a peaceful breakout from their own defensive zone.

According to Daily Faceoff, winger Logan O'Connor is expected to make his season debut against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It is the kind of roster update that will not lead the national broadcasts, but it absolutely fixes a bottom six that usually needs his exact brand of chaos.

"Daily Faceoff reported that O'Connor is expected to make his season debut against the Lightning."

O'Connor is the patron saint of doing the dirty work. The undrafted forward already has a 2017 NCAA Championship from his Denver days and a 2022 Stanley Cup ring with Colorado, mostly earned by skating through brick walls so the star players do not have to.

The Avalanche have been trading blows early this season, recently splitting a back-to-back with the Dallas Stars and handling the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2. Getting a healthy number 25 back on the right wing gives them the heavy forecheck energy required to survive the Western Conference gauntlet.

For the sickos staring at the player prop markets, his return completely shifts the board. O'Connor is a reliable target for hits and blocked shots, even if you should probably look elsewhere if you need a guy to casually drop a hat trick.

Tampa Bay is walking into a buzzsaw of fresh legs. Expect O'Connor to immediately throw his body around, kill penalties, and remind the rest of the league why playing against Colorado is a miserable physical experience.
