Dallas Goedert's MCL Sprain Leaves the Eagles Offense Looking for Answers

The Philadelphia Eagles survived their Sunday trip to Tennessee with a 24-20 win, but the victory tax is officially due. According to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a sprained MCL and is expected to miss a few weeks.

Goedert left the game in the second quarter after logging a single four-yard catch on two targets. That is a brutal pivot from his Week 1 masterpiece against the Washington Commanders, where he torched the defense for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

The timing is especially rough considering star receiver A.J. Brown has already been dealing with a lingering hamstring issue of his own. Taking away Hurts' primary middle-of-the-field weapon means opposing defenses can start getting a lot more aggressive on the outside.

For the next few weeks, Philadelphia will have to patch the tight end spot together with Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins. Unless you are playing in a 32-team league with your extended family, you can safely leave both of those guys on the waiver wire while the Eagles try to survive without their starting tight end.
