Jaguars LT Anton Harrison Headed for Knee Surgery, Leaving Trevor Lawrence's Blindside in Limbo

The Jacksonville Jaguars are flying back from London fresh off a tight 19-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but they might be leaving their starting left tackle's knee cartilage on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

According to Ian Rapoport and Jeremy Fowler, Anton Harrison is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery as soon as the team lands. The timeline is currently a massive question mark, with doctors waiting until they actually get inside the knee to decide if he is out for a few weeks or a few months.

Harrison has been the full-time starter since 2023, tasked with the highly stressful job of keeping Trevor Lawrence upright. Losing your blindside protector is the football equivalent of finding out the lock on your front door is broken right before you go to sleep.

This is a brutal break for a Jacksonville team trying to build momentum off a close win. You can scheme around a lot of things in the modern NFL, but a gaping hole at left tackle usually results in your franchise quarterback spending half the game picking turf out of his facemask.

If Harrison is shelved for months rather than weeks, expect the betting markets to aggressively adjust Jacksonville's team totals. Offensive coordinators tend to get very conservative when they know their quarterback has about 1.5 seconds to throw before a defensive end arrives unblocked.
