Knicks Waive Ochai Agbaji and Tony Bradley After 50-Point Meltdown

The New York Knicks are officially pulling the plug on the Ochai Agbaji and Tony Bradley experiments, according to Underdog NBA.

Agbaji just signed with New York as a free agent in September. Getting waived before the Halloween candy even hits the discount aisle is a tough break, but it proves exactly how fast patience runs out in this league.

You can usually trace a sudden roster shakeup back to a specific moment of on-court trauma. For the Knicks, that moment was giving up 148 points in a 50-point blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. When your defense gets cooked that thoroughly, somebody has to pack their bags.

New York is currently riding a miserable three-game losing streak that includes drops to the Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves. The locker room vibes are currently sitting somewhere between a delayed subway train and an unmedicated root canal.

Trimming the end of the bench does not magically fix a broken rotation, but it does consolidate minutes. Bettors looking at New York's upcoming props should expect a heavier workload for the remaining rotation guys, especially since the front office is clearly sending a message about effort and accountability.

The Knicks get an immediate chance to avenge that 50-point disaster with a rematch against the Raptors on Thursday night. We will see if clearing two locker stalls is enough to wake up a defense that has been sleeping since opening night.
