Lakers Roll Out 2K-Style Starting Lineup Against Jazz

The Los Angeles Lakers are officially rolling out a starting five of Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Matisse Thybulle, Jalen Williams, and Walker Kessler against the Utah Jazz on Sunday.

This looks less like a real NBA rotation and more like a 2K MyLeague roster where someone turned off the salary cap and just started mashing the trade override button. It is a perfectly engineered mix of high-usage scoring and defensive absolute zero tolerance.

"Lineup alert: Lakers will start Doncic, Reaves, Thybulle, Williams, Kessler on Sunday."

Through two games, Doncic and Reaves are both averaging exactly 25.5 points per night. Reaves is shooting a hilarious 66.7 percent from the floor, while Luka is hovering at 38.5 percent but still dominating the offense with a massive 40.7 percent usage rate.

Then you surround that backcourt with Thybulle's perimeter chaos and Kessler, who is already swatting 4.0 blocks per game. Bettors looking at the under on Utah player props might want to take a hard look at anyone who has to drive into the paint against Kessler tonight.

Los Angeles is sitting at a comfortable 2-0 after hanging 127 points on the Warriors and 125 on the Clippers. Their 124.1 offensive rating is currently second in the league, which makes total sense when your starting guards are generating 51 points and 14.5 assists every single night.

The Jazz get the first live look at this specific five-man unit on Sunday evening. If this group clicks the way the early math suggests it should, the rest of the Western Conference is going to need a support group.
