NFL Injury Bug Bites Hard: Updates on Lamar Jackson, CeeDee Lamb, and Saquon Barkley

If your fantasy team or betting slip feels unusually light this week, you can thank the NFL’s latest injury report. Ian Rapoport just dropped a massive update on Good Morning Football, and it reads like a VIP list of guys you desperately need on the field.

CeeDee Lamb is the headliner here. The Dallas Cowboys just dropped an ugly 24-16 game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and now their undisputed top target is dealing with something. Dallas without Lamb is basically just a very expensive podcast network.

"Ian Rapoport noted on GMFB that these are key injuries to monitor heading into the weekend."

Then there is Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up for a Monday night clash against the Atlanta Falcons, and any time the reigning MVP pops up on an injury update, the entire city holds its collective breath. You do not want to see what that offense looks like if Jackson has to sit.

Saquon Barkley is also on the radar. The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to bounce back from a tight 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and have a date with the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday. Barkley has been the absolute engine of that offense, and Philadelphia suddenly looks very mortal if he is not taking twenty touches a game.

Even the rookies are not safe. Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai is banged up just in time for the team to head up to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers. A rookie missing a rivalry game is tough, especially when Chicago is trying to build momentum off their recent 23-12 win over the New York Jets.

This is the exact point in the season where the war of attrition starts ruining perfectly good Sunday plans. Oddsmakers are going to have an absolute nightmare trying to price these games until we get concrete practice reports.

Keep an eye on the Friday practice designations. If even two of these guys sit, the weekend slate is going to look completely different, and your group chat is going to be in full panic mode.
