Patrick Mahomes is officially back from ACL and LCL surgery, and the rest of the NFL can go ahead and cancel their parade plans.

According to Ian Rapoport on NFL GameDay Morning, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has completed an impressive rehab and is returning with "equal strength on both sides."

Hearing that a quarterback has perfectly balanced leg strength after a catastrophic knee injury sounds less like a medical update and more like the origin story of a cyborg. Usually, an ACL and LCL tear is a grueling, career-altering ordeal that takes a full year just to trust your own body again.

For Mahomes, it apparently just required a software update and a quick trip to the mechanic for a tire rotation.

This is the exact opposite of what the rest of the AFC wanted to hear. If Mahomes is stepping back onto the field without favoring his surgically repaired leg, the Chiefs immediately reclaim their spot as the most terrifying offense in football.
