Adam Schefter just dropped the Sunday morning questionable-tag sweepstakes, and it looks like Treylon Burks, George Pickens, and Jaylen Waddle are all lacing up today.
The questionable tag in the modern NFL has basically become a polite suggestion. It is the football equivalent of telling your friends you might be late to the bar when you are already walking out the door.
"Adam Schefter reported that all three receivers are expected or trending toward playing."
Treylon Burks is dealing with a foot issue but is expected to go for the Washington Commanders against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. With Terry McLaurin done for the year with a torn patellar tendon, Washington desperately needs Burks to actually do something alongside Stefon Diggs. Burks has two touchdowns on nine catches this year, which is efficient but not exactly the kind of volume that moves the needle.
Over in Dallas, George Pickens is also expected to play through his own questionable tag against the Arizona Cardinals. The Dallas Cowboys are sitting at a miserable 3-4, but Pickens has been doing the heavy lifting with 28 catches for 417 yards and two scores over his last five games.
If you are staring at Pickens on a prop sheet today, just know he is basically the only guy keeping that passing attack from looking like a complete tragedy.
Then there is Jaylen Waddle, who is trending toward playing for the 5-2 Denver Broncos in a massive divisional clash against the 5-1 Kansas City Chiefs. Waddle aggravated a chest injury last week and has been a certified headache for fantasy managers all season.
The silver lining for Waddle is that he gets a Kansas City Chiefs secondary missing cornerbacks Mansoor Delane and L'Jarius Sneed. That is a dream matchup, assuming his chest actually holds up past the first quarter.
Keep an eye on the final inactive lists 90 minutes before kickoff, but you can probably fire these guys up in your lineups. Whether they actually finish their games without limping to the blue medical tent is a completely different conversation.
