Rockets Roll Out Video Game Lineup Against Spurs

The Houston Rockets are rolling out a starting five on Friday that looks like a 2K MyTeam roster built by someone who stole their mom's credit card. According to Underdog NBA, Houston will officially start Fred VanVleet, Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith Jr., and Alperen Sengun.

If you are holding tickets on the San Antonio Spurs for this matchup, this is the part where you start sweating. This is not just a solid rotation; it is a fully weaponized starting unit that just hung 128 points on the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week.

"Lineup alert: Rockets will start VanVleet, Thompson, Durant, Smith Jr., Sengun on Friday. (@UnderdogNBA)"

Amen Thompson is quietly turning into a monster, averaging 16 points and 10 boards a night. Pairing that kind of rebounding and playmaking with Durant's gravity and Sengun's post wizardry is objectively terrifying for opposing defenses.

You have VanVleet running the point, two elite young athletes cleaning up the glass, and one of the greatest scorers in human history just hanging out on the wing. It is the kind of lineup that makes opposing coaches stare blankly at their clipboards during timeouts.

Houston heads into San Antonio on Friday night with a clean bill of health and a rotation built to break scoreboards. If this group clicks early, the Spurs might need to start checking the arena for a mercy rule before halftime.
