The Falcons' Injury Report Reads Like a CVS Receipt Ahead of Tampa Bay

The Atlanta Falcons just dropped an injury report so long it requires a table of contents.

According to ESPN's Marc Raimondi, Atlanta has eight guys listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We are talking about defensive back Billy Bowman, linebacker Divine Deablo, defensive ends Samson Ebukam and Charles Snowden, cornerback Avieon Terrell, offensive tackle Cameron Williams, and wideouts Olamide Zaccheaus and Beaux Collins. That is not an injury update. That is a full intramural roster.

"Marc Raimondi reported the massive eight-player questionable list on Friday."

The Falcons are sitting at 3-4 under head coach Kevin Stefanski, desperately trying to build momentum after a 29-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers. But trying to string together consecutive wins is tough when half your depth chart is currently living in the trainer's room.

Rookie safety Billy Bowman has been fighting a hamstring issue that has already cost him multiple games, while Deablo is nursing a forearm injury that kept him out of practice this week. Deablo knows the drill after missing a massive chunk of the 2022 season, but losing him again leaves a glaring hole in the middle of the defense.

If you are looking at the betting lines for Sunday, this is the exact type of Friday news dump that makes oddsmakers sweat and bettors freeze. You cannot confidently back a team when you do not even know if they have enough healthy bodies to run a standard nickel package without pulling a guy from the practice squad who was bagging groceries on Tuesday.

We will not know the actual damage until the inactive list drops 90 minutes before kickoff in Tampa. Until then, Stefanski might want to wrap whoever is left in bubble wrap and hope they survive the flight.
