The NFL season is barely out of the wrapper and the Atlanta Falcons are already playing quarterback roulette, while the league office is doing its best amateur detective impression.

Ian Rapoport dropped the Sunday morning reality check on NFL Network: Tua Tagovailoa is officially out today against the Pittsburgh Steelers with an oblique injury. If you were holding a ticket on the Falcons' offense looking functional out of the gate, you might want to go ahead and emotionally hedge that bet.

"Ian Rapoport reported that the Falcons won't have Tua Tagovailoa today, but Michael Penix Jr. could play next week or Week 3."

To make the quarterback room even murkier, Rapoport noted that Michael Penix Jr. could be a factor next week or Week 3. Atlanta is essentially operating a timeshare at the most important position in sports, and right now, nobody seems to have the keys to the front door.

Meanwhile, in a completely separate but equally chaotic subplot, the NFL is reportedly hunting down a video involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs for an active investigation.

You know a situation is getting messy when the league office is out here acting like a high school principal trying to confiscate a burner phone. We do not know what is on the tape, but the phrase "the NFL is attempting to obtain the video" has historically never preceded good news for a player's immediate future.
