Unofficial depth charts are usually a head coach's favorite way to troll the media, but sometimes they actually give us the answers to the test. Adam Schefter just dropped the Arizona Cardinals' Week 1 pecking order, and it has Tyler Allgeier sitting pretty at RB1.

Right behind him is rookie Jeremiyah Love at RB2. If you spent the last month of fantasy drafts trying to guess how Arizona's backfield would shake out against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday, you finally have your baseline.

Being named the starting running back on a Tuesday in September is a lot like being named the manager of a seasonal pop-up restaurant. It is a great title to have, but you still have to prove you can handle the dinner rush before they give you the keys permanently.

Still, Allgeier getting the official nod means he is the guy in line for the early-down work. The veteran has proven he can handle the volume, and Arizona clearly trusts him to set the tone on the ground.

For the prop market and fantasy managers, this is the exact kind of clarity you want before a season opener. Allgeier is going to get the first crack at establishing the run, while Love will likely mix in to keep the veteran fresh or provide a spark if the offense stalls out.
