Jayden Daniels Suffers Another Brutal Elbow Injury as Commanders' Nightmare Repeats

The Washington Commanders just watched their season flash before their eyes, and it looks exactly like a cursed replay of 2025.

According to Adam Schefter, quarterback Jayden Daniels has officially been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with a left elbow injury. He tripped on the final play of the first half, bending his arm backward in a way that makes you want to immediately close the timeline.

The actual history is even more brutal. Daniels dislocated that same left elbow in Week 9 last year, missed three games, came back, and then re-injured it in Week 14 to end his season. Add in the knee and hamstring issues, and the guy only managed to survive seven games in 2025.

At this point, Daniels' left arm has more structural red flags than a discount roller coaster. You cannot build a consistent offense around a dynamic talent who spends half the calendar year in a splint.

For anyone holding Washington tickets or relying on Daniels in fantasy, the immediate pivot is grim. The Commanders were trailing Dallas 17-10 when the disaster struck, forcing Marcus Mariota to grab his helmet and try to salvage the night.
