Micah Parsons Eyes 'Realistic' Week 6 Return Against Former Team

Micah Parsons is eyeing a Week 6 return from injury, and the timing is almost too perfect. He says it is "very realistic" he suits up for the Green Bay Packers when they host the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field.

A star edge rusher coming back is always big news. But Parsons returning specifically to hunt his former team is the kind of script you usually have to pitch to a studio executive.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Rob Demovsky, Parsons dropped the optimistic update on Tuesday. The Packers have been waiting to get their premier pass rusher back in the mix, and getting him healthy for a high-stakes NFC clash is a massive swing for Green Bay's defensive front.

There are regular season games, and then there are revenge games where a generational talent gets to spend three hours trying to physically dismantle the franchise he used to play for.

If you are the Cowboys' offensive line, this is the exact opposite of the injury update you wanted to read on a Tuesday afternoon. Preparing for a normal road game at Lambeau is hard enough without factoring in a highly motivated game-wrecker coming off the injury report.

We will have to watch the practice reports out of Green Bay this week to see how much physical work Parsons actually gets in. But if he gets the green light for Sunday, expect the Dallas backfield to be a very uncomfortable place to work.
