Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the Baltimore Ravens star defensive tackle is officially returning to the field. This marks his first game action since a severe cervical neck injury abruptly ended his 2025 campaign in Week 2.

Before his neck required mid-April surgery, Madubuike was an absolute terror on the interior. He racked up 19.5 sacks across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, earning two Pro Bowl nods and a four-year, $98.5 million contract that pays him like a small sovereign nation.

Baltimore desperately needs that version of him right now. The Ravens are coming off a frustrating 24-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, and their defense is currently holding together like wet tissue paper with key pieces like Roquan Smith and Marlon Humphrey dealing with leg injuries.

If you are looking at the totals or spreads for Sunday night's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, factoring in a healthy Madubuike completely changes the math. A defense that can generate pressure up the middle without blitzing is the ultimate cheat code in modern football.
