Rui Hachimura Ruled Out Wednesday With Quad Injury

Death, taxes, and Rui Hachimura popping up on a weekday injury report. Underdog NBA reported Tuesday that the LA Clippers forward has officially been ruled out for Wednesday's game with a quad issue.

If you feel like you have read this exact headline before, your memory is working perfectly. Hachimura hitting the shelf is practically a scheduled event at this point in his career.

"Underdog NBA reported that Hachimura is officially ruled out for Wednesday."

The man’s medical file reads like a WebMD drop-down menu. According to injury tracking data, Hachimura has racked up 25 distinct injuries and missed 227 days of action since entering the league, dealing with everything from knee tendinitis and calf strains to nasal fractures and random illnesses.

Now, you can add a quad injury to the bingo card. It is a frustrating blow for a guy who has been chipping in a steady 10.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Clippers this season.

For the fantasy managers and daily bettors who keep trusting the upside, this is your regular reminder that availability is a skill. You cannot cash a prop ticket on a guy wearing street clothes on the bench.

The immediate fallout means the Clippers will have to shuffle their frontcourt rotation to replace his floor time. Sportsbooks will undoubtedly adjust the team totals and rebounding props for the rest of the Los Angeles starting five to account for the missing production.

As for what comes next, the team has not given a firm timeline on the quad recovery. Until the Clippers provide a real update, treat Hachimura as strictly day-to-day and keep him far away from your starting lineups.
