The Falcons' QB Room Is a Medical Drama, and Michael Penix Jr. Might Be the Plot Twist

The Atlanta Falcons' quarterback room is currently operating like a medical drama where nobody knows who the main character is. Ian Rapoport just dropped the Thursday practice report, and it is a wild ride: Michael Penix Jr. and Cooper Rush are full-go, while Tua Tagovailoa is nowhere to be found.

Tua is dealing with an oblique injury that already cost him Week 1's 20-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Meanwhile, Penix is out here taking full reps less than a year after tearing his ACL in Week 11 of the 2025 season.
